Bordering on being a foreign film, A Quiet Place does not disappoint in its’ titular statement. As emotional as it is terrifying, Kraisinski’s debut feature is enthralling; tension stemming from the silence in every single scene. Blunt’s performance was incredibly exceptional, and she and Kraisinski realized a perfectly developed family, just enough to have the audience prepared to mourn any of them at any time. The tale of parenthood and protection devoid of all cost never takes a backseat to the horror, and was the main (and beautiful) motive for the family. Minor plot inconsistencies (and they are very negligible) are overshadowed by incredible direction and cinematography.
